VanAsep is proud to sponsor a talk by Roberta Jamieson, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation.
As President and Chief Executive Officer of the National Aboriginal Achievement Foundation, Roberta Jamieson leads the largest non-governmental funder of Indigenous post-secondary student funding in Canada. She strongly believes that Indigenous youth are integral to Canada’s future workforce and leadership, but that their potential is not being realized.
In British Columbia and across Canada, businesses, governments and communities are trying—with varying degrees of success, to address the economic and educational needs of Indigenous communities. Roberta Jamieson, with her wealth of experience—as an elected Chief, provincial Ombudsman, lawyer, mediator and Indigenous education leader will share her vision for a better future and what we must do to realize it.
Roberta Jamieson is both an optimist and realist. Her presentation promises to be thought-provoking, engaging and offer challenges to members.
